Overview
This ten day grand safari is the definitive Kenya experience, meticulously designed to showcase the absolute best of the country diverse ecosystems. You will start with the giant elephants of Amboseli under Mount Kilimanjaro. You will then travel north to the Laikipia Plateau to witness intensive rhino conservation at Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The journey continues down into the Great Rift Valley to explore the flamingos and rhinos of Lake Nakuru, followed by a relaxing boat and walking safari at Lake Naivasha. The grand tour culminates with three unforgettable nights in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the undisputed champion of African savanna wildlife viewing.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
You will depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south to Amboseli National Park. Arriving in time for lunch, you will have a brief rest before embarking on your afternoon game drive. You will spend the afternoon marveling at the large herds of elephants moving through the swamps.

Day 2
Full Day Exploring Amboseli
You will wake up early for spectacular views of Kilimanjaro. You will spend the day exploring the park diverse habitats. You will visit Observation Hill for panoramic views and seek out lions, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife.

Day 3
Amboseli to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Today involves a long but scenic drive. You will depart Amboseli after breakfast, drive back through Nairobi, and head into the central highlands towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy. After a late lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive in this incredible predator rich environment.

Day 4
Rhinos and Chimpanzees at Ol Pejeta
Today includes a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. You will then continue with a comprehensive game drive across the conservancy, tracking prides of lions and solitary leopards. You will also have the option to visit the endangered species enclosure.

Day 5
Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast, you will leave the highlands and drive down into the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park. After checking into your lodge and having lunch, you will head out for an afternoon game drive to track both black and white rhinoceros along the lake shores.

Day 6
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
You will drive the short distance to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge. In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride on the freshwater lake to observe hippos, followed by a guided walking safari on Crescent Island.

Day 7
Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will drive through the Rift Valley towards the Maasai Mara. You will arrive in time for a late lunch. In the late afternoon, you will embark on your first exciting game drive in the Mara, seeking out lions, cheetahs, and elephants until sunset.

Day 8
Full Day Safari Exploring the Maasai Mara
This entire day is dedicated to exploring the vast expanses of the Maasai Mara. You will carry a picnic lunch so you can maximize your time in the reserve. You will visit the Mara River to view hippos and crocodiles, and spend hours observing the complex interactions between predators and prey.

Day 9
Second Full Day in the Maasai Mara
A second full day in the Mara allows you to venture deeper into the reserve. The day will be spent tracking prides of lions, searching for elusive leopards in the riverine forests, and enjoying the spectacular savanna scenery.
Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Safari
Day 10
Morning Safari and Return to Nairobi
You will enjoy a final sunrise game drive to capture the dawn light. After returning to your lodge for breakfast and packing up, you will begin the scenic drive back up the escarpment to Nairobi, concluding your ultimate ten day grand safari of Kenya.
