About Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most scenic wildlife destinations, located in the southern part of the country near the border with Tanzania. The park is best known for its large herds of elephants and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

The landscape consists of open plains, swamps, and seasonal lakes that attract a variety of wildlife. Elephants are the main highlight, often seen moving in large family groups. Other animals include lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species.

Amboseli provides excellent opportunities for photography due to its open terrain and dramatic backdrop of snow capped mountains.
The park is accessible by road from Nairobi, taking approximately four to five hours. Domestic flights are also available to nearby airstrips. Accommodation includes lodges, tented camps, and campsites.
